Founder. Builder. Designer. Renovation Enthusiast.

Emily didn’t plan to fall in love with renovation—but once she did, she never looked back.

In 2011, like many young dreamers, Emily longed for the perfect home—but it felt just out of reach. That closed door led her to an unexpected opportunity: a beat-up foreclosure brimming with potential. What started as a leap of faith turned into a calling. She rolled up her sleeves, trusted her gut, and transformed that forgotten house into a home. And she was hooked.

By 2018, after flipping multiple properties and growing a boutique vacation rental company (which she later sold), Emily turned her passion into a full-fledged business: This Whole House. Today, she works with families and homeowners to reimagine spaces from the inside out—whether it’s a full renovation, a design refresh, or hands-on project management.

From Jersey Roots to Charleston Charm

Born and raised in a small New Jersey town, Emily eventually made her way south to Charleston, SC, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education (plus a Spanish minor!) from The College of Charleston. A teacher at heart, she brings warmth, clarity, and intentionality to everything she does—whether it’s managing a team, designing a kitchen, or helping a client find their style.

She also holds a professional Design Certification from the New York Institute of Art and Design as well as a Residential Home Builder's license giving her the technical expertise to pair with her natural creative instincts.

These days, Emily’s world is filled with love and a little chaos: two beautiful kiddos, two dogs, a flock of chickens, and plenty of laughter. When she’s not working with clients, you’ll find her in her kitchen, surrounded by family and friends, whipping up something cozy and delicious.

She often reflects on the path God set before her—a journey still unfolding—and feels deeply honored to play a small part in her clients’ lives. Whether it’s a big dream or a small refresh, she treats every project with heart.

We absolutely loved working with Emily for our full primary bathroom, gut and remodel. I could not say more amazing things about Emily and how she runs her business. From the beginning, Emily had amazing organization and she set the right expectations with us in terms of timeline. We have worked with other contractors in the past that have set timelines and had under delivered and over promised. The work with other contractors was also poor and always left issues. Every inch of our bathroom is done with the highest level of work. With Emily, she was very realistic about our timeline and kept us updated on a weekly basis with what we could expect to be completed. She also gave us a lot of options with our design choices. She also suggested options that I would’ve not necessarily considered before but her vision for putting things together is so unmatched!! If you were looking for an amazing contractor for your home remodeling, Emily is my number one and only pick!! I can’t wait to work with her on all of our other projects that we have planned for our home.
