A Whole House Renovation in Summerville, SC | Custom Built-Ins, Bathrooms & a Secret Hideaway

The riskiest renovation of all time!

Risky Business

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

I’ve officially wrapped up what might be the riskiest whole house renovation of my career.

And no, I don’t mean risky as in knocking down load-bearing walls, uncovering questionable plumbing, or building scaffolding three stories high.

I mean risky as in… THEY’RE MY NEXT-DOOR NEIGHBORS.

As in, we share a street. We see each other regularly. There’s no wrapping up a project, shaking hands, and disappearing into the sunset. If they hated their new house, I’d be reminded of it every single time I mowed the lawn.

Luckily, I don’t mow the lawn.

But I digress…

I’m happy to report that not only are my neighbors absolutely ecstatic with their newly renovated home, but I am too!

Total Transformation

One of my favorite things about being a designer and general contractor is getting to know the families behind the projects. Because a beautiful home is wonderful, but a beautiful home that actually works for the people living in it? That's where the magic happens.

For this whole house renovation, we focused on creating spaces that felt personal, functional, and full of character.

We're talking custom shelving for ALL the books (and I mean ALL of them), endless storage to keep everyday life organized, beautifully updated bathrooms, and thoughtful details that make each room feel like it belongs to the people who live there.

Every decision was made with this family in mind, from the big design elements down to the smallest finishing touches.

Before -- After!

Enchanted Bathroom

One of my favorite rooms in the whole house, was their daughter's bathroom. She wanted it to feel enchanted to match the theme for her "Enchanted Library" bedroom. That was enough for me!

I found the perfect wallpaper from Inktopia. To really make it pop, she picked a rich purple color that she would paint her bedroom. The warm wood, gold fixtures, and beaded mirror brought everything together! Absolutely show-stopping! You can shop the look HERE.

Throughout the renovation, we worked to strike that balance between beauty and practicality.

Custom built-ins and shelving gave their book collection a proper home. Additional storage made room for all the things that come with family life. Updated bathrooms brought fresh style and function, while personal touches throughout the house made the finished spaces feel warm, welcoming, and uniquely theirs.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a home come together in a way that feels effortless, even when I know just how much planning, problem-solving, and hard work went into getting it there.

I'm so grateful they trusted me with their home. Taking on a whole house renovation is a big deal, but trusting your neighbor to do it? That's a whole other level of faith!

Thankfully, we're all still speaking. In fact, I think we're better neighbors than ever.

 XOXO
